Presentation Evening : a bitter-sweet event

Our annual presentation evening took on a new format this year, focusing on the Local Competition awards and the annual video of what we’ve all been up to during the year.  This reduced content allowed us to complete the session in one “sitting” allowing plenty of time afterwards for chats and eats from the huge array of delicious food supplied by Barbara Frost and her team.

Jan Roles was awarded a very deserved Chairman’s Award by Irene Ellis for her significant work of many, many years to the Liphook in Bloom team though it was tinged with more than a degree of sadness that she would be stepping down from her active team duties.

Another major announcement came from Irene that the future of Liphook in Bloom was currently in doubt as many of the organising team are also planning to step down after our 20th anniversary in 2017.  A Brain Storming meeting was to be held in the Millennium Hall on November 10th at 19:30 to discuss the various options and hopefully gain support from new members willing to take on the critical organising roles.  Further details can be accessed from the home page of this website.
